I am an ambitious, creative, results-driven, exceptionally well-written, scrupulously detail-oriented public relations specialist with an entrepreneurial spirit and a burning desire to see others succeed. I am a mother, wife, and now the proud founder of LAURA WARD·CO, a communications consulting agency providing virtual expertise, new business coaching, and public relations solutions for solopreneurs, small business owners, and nonprofit organizations.

When it comes to business ownership, this is not my first rodeo. Following a nearly seven-year stint at a full-service marketing communications agency early in my career, I spent my first 13 years as a mother of two in business for myself as a public relations consultant. Not only was I constantly chasing the elusive work-life balance (and overdue client payments!), I was learning how to do eleventy-billion things that had absolutely nothing to do with public relations and entirely everything to do with whether or not I succeeded as a business owner.

I made TONS of mistakes, dealt with the consequences (which were, at times, dire), and learned ALL the lessons. In fact, I gained so much expertise and confidence as a business owner that after I earned certification as a professional life and addiction recovery coach in 2018, I knew exactly how to set up, launch, market, and quickly grow my successful coaching practice (with my eyes closed!).
